Abstract
Air Conditioner (AC) or another name is an air conditioning device that works to blow fresh air inside as a cooler and provides comfort to the driver, so that the driver gets comfortable while driving and can increase driving productivity in order to create a safe trip and avoid accidents. During the cooling process, the air in the cabin is circulated continuously using a blower motor. Riders who are in the cabin will make sure the air is in the space, and the air is not guaranteed to be clean. The importance of replacing the dirty Air Conditioner (AC) filter because it can interfere with its performance. Because with a dirty Air Conditioner (AC) filter, it will have several impacts on the health and performance of the car air conditioner. This research is a research with a Research and Development (R&D) approach. This study aims to produce a design for an Air Conditioner filter detection device on an Arduino-based car or the development of a product by carrying out the validity and effectiveness of the product in its application. The tool in this study can detect the condition of the AC filter properly and effectively using a prototype using an Infrared speed Sensor. The sensor on this tool is connected to the pinwheel and the working system is that the wheel will rotate if it is exposed to air pressure from the AC blower, then the rotation of the wheel is detected by the infrared speed sensor by calculating the rotation or rotation. Produce a test run of the tool to calculate high pressure and low pressure clean filter (745-1116 and 281-372) Rpm will display a “clean” LCD and green LED, medium filter (298-744 and 136-280) Rpm will display a “medium” LCD ” and yellow LED then dirty filter (171-297 and 92-135) Rpm will display “dirty” LCD, red LED and active buzzer
