Abstract
Professional Work Practice II (PKP II) is a compulsory course in the Diploma III Automotive Technology Program at the Politeknik Keselamatan Transportasi Jalan, designed to provide students with practical experience in motor vehicle inspection. The internship was conducted at the Motor Vehicle Inspection Management Unit (UPPKB) Pulo Gadung, East Jakarta, from February 2 to April 30, 2026. The activities were carried out using observation, active participation, interviews, and documentation studies covering all stages of motor vehicle inspection services. During the internship, students gained practical experience in administrative service procedures, inspection of technical and roadworthiness requirements, operation of vehicle testing equipment, inspection of electric vehicles, maintenance and calibration of testing equipment, and implementation of the Occupational Safety and Health Management System (SMK3) and Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE). Furthermore, an analysis was conducted on compliance with motor vehicle inspection service standards and on the similarities and differences between inspection procedures for conventional and electric vehicles. The results indicate that UPPKB Pulo Gadung has implemented an integrated inspection service through the BLUe Full Cycle system, supported by competent human resources, calibrated testing equipment, and operational procedures that comply with applicable regulations. The implementation of administrative services, vehicle inspection procedures, and occupational safety practices has been effectively carried out, contributing to efficient, professional, and reliable motor vehicle inspection services while supporting transportation safety and environmental protection.
