Abstract
The increasing number of traffic accidents in Indonesia, particularly involving high school students, highlights the urgent need for enhanced road safety education. This study aims to design a 2D animation media using motion graphic techniques as an educational campaign tool to promote defensive, aggressive, and safety riding behavior among students. The research employed the ADDIE development model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) with participants from Grade XI students of SMA Negeri 1 Kota Mungkid, Magelang Regency. Data were collected through observations, interviews, pre-test and post test questionnaires, and expert validation by media specialists, content experts, and teachers. The results showed that the 2D motion graphic animation media was rated as "appropriate" and "very good" by experts. Furthermore, a significant improvement in student understanding was observed after the implementation of the media, as indicated by the increase in post-test scores. In conclusion, motion graphic techniques are effective in developing 2D animation media to enhance students comprehension of safe and responsible riding behavior
